During this workshop we weave a simple woolen belt as it was made in the Bronze Age (the looms we use are derived from a Bronze Age belt loom). In the morning we start with a short introduction about weaving (what is weaving, how does a simple weaving frame work) and how a weight loom works.

One of the oldest sculptures in northern Germany is the Moose by Weitsche, which was designed around 14,000 years ago. In the Bronze Age, the amber trade experienced a new dimension.

The Bronze Age open-air museum invites you to the “Days of Crafts”. Many artisans give insights into their technical skills and also offer their goods for sale. Some of the professionals demonstrate their crafts. The extensive grounds of the open-air museum are also available for a relaxing stroll.
