Past, present and future of wool come together during Wool Time 

We invite you to the International scientific and practical seminar entitled "Ancient shipping and shipbuilding: issues of research, reconstruction and the possibility of use for the development of tourism".
Location: Historical Reconstruction Park "Ostvytsia", Ukraine Rivne, Marusi Churai Street, 33017.

Topics of the seminar:

Experimental archaeology has become a burgeoning field within that has answered significant questions about human experience driven by the same curiosity, ingenuity, and creativity that allowed our ancestors to thrive. It has also captured the public imagination and provides thousands with a tangible link to a multitude of imagined pasts.

As part of the   a painting workshop will take place on Sunday afternoon, August 20, led by painter Esther Schlebos, where you will get to work 'en plein air' painting the largest Hunebed in the Netherlands, D27.

In the middle of winter and in Stone Age equipment, the paleotechnician Markus Klek crossed the Black Forest. He has been working with prehistoric life and craft techniques for 20 years. On his hike he tried out self-made clothing made of leather and fur as well as replicas of Ötzi's equipment. In the lecture he reports on his impressive experiences.

House by the Sea - Natural textiles from the pile dwellers 

The pile dwellers knew and used the resources of nature. Ropes and cords that were needed for building houses were made from linden bast, nettles, rushes, flax and willow.

During the last week of July, Swifterkamp will host the European Stone Age Gathering. From 6 different countries, 40 stone-age specialists will gather to share various aspects of Stone Age living. A wide spectrum of specialties is represented, like stone-age cooking, skin tanning, flint knapping, building construction, or working with natural fibers.
